Office 365 Increases Business Productivity Office 365 working with your other Cloud-based Applications, give your business more flexibility. Give your employees the opportunities to securely access and edit documents on-the-go and in real-time. Many Businesses take advantage of the convergence of cloud solutions and mobile technology to ensure productivity, accommodate different work styles, and reduce costs. The cloud also provides high-level security and privacy while ensuring the access control you need.
Microsoft has a lot of work ahead of it, but the momentum of Office 365 (1 in 4 Office customer accounts now use it) should help, and the alignment of Power BI with Microsoft’s recent Devices.
O365 Includes Power BI for Valuable Business Insights Power BI is a suite of business analytics tools that deliver insights throughout your organization. Connect to hundreds of data sources, simplify data prep, and drive ad hoc analysis. Produce beautiful reports, then publish them for your organization to consume on the web and across mobile devices.
Everyone can create personalized dashboards with a unique, 360-degree view of their business. With New Treemap and waterfall charts in Office 365, it is now very easy to visualize big amount of data, and to publish them directly into Microsoft Power BI from Excel. By using these new tools, your business can connect, view, and shape data from multiple sources, including tables from websites, unstructured sources, and any outside data service.
Access your data from anywhere. Get notifications, annotate and share, and dive deep into your data with powerful features for decision making on the go. When you receive a link in a report that has an active URL filter (query string) applied to it, the report will open pre-filtered. Copy report data also available for iPad.
When you tap 'Show data' on your device to see the numbers behind your visuals, you can now copy the table and paste it wherever you want. We now use phone report layout, when it exists, for displaying reports on your tablet in portrait mode. Reports using the new 'modern visual header' will no longer allocate space for headers, resulting in less empty space and more room for your visualizations. 17.0 Nov 13, 2018. Now in preview - you can view and interact with paginated reports published to Power BI on the web from the app. When you tap 'Show data' on your iPhone to see the numbers behind your visuals, you can now copy the table and paste it wherever you want. Bbdrooks, Good start For my purposes the mobile app works well. I need more customizations available in terms of creating and sharing real time dashboards. I have some data that requires real time API.
However, I haven't found a way to display text or date fields (only values). It would also be nice if I could create measures in the web service for real time data (specifically I want to show a stopwatch with the amount of time between now and the last data push that came in).
I would like to be able to embed the real time dashboard in my website. However, you can only share/embed reports not dashboards, and realtime data doesn't get updated in the reports. All in all, it is close enough that I can get 90% of want I want done with it (and it is essentially a free solution for now since I already get it with my office 365 subscription). Specifically for the mobile app, I like it. I actually prefer it to the web app for viewing. Bbdrooks, Good start For my purposes the mobile app works well. Redundencyredundency, Mobile app experience needs enhancing I love that I am connected with my dashboards and reports at all times but there is too much limited functionality in the app. I would like to see enhancements for selecting multiple categories from a slicer as well as options to edit my gateway from settings. Developer Response, 1. We appreciate the feedback. As store feedbacks have little information for support and due to privacy issues, please send a direct email to our support via [email protected]. Please include in your email a detailed description of the issue, error massages if available and print screens – if possible.
Thank you, The Power BI team 2. Regarding the multi select: The user can do multi select in the app. By default it is disabled, he/she needs to go to the options menu and disable “single selection” mode. After disabling this it will do multi select by default (without holding the “ctrl” key) and allow the user to multi select in the app.
